General Spanish courses

The program contains 5 levels: Beginner, High beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Proficient corresponding to the CEFR* reference levels A1, A2, B1, B2, and C1.

Each level includes class hours, academic tutoring hours with our pre-service teachers, and independent work. You can take 10 hours per week (semi-intensive course) or 20 hours per week (intensive course).
New students may join group classes only on Mondays, as far as the conditions of the currently enrolled students allow. New group classes may be set up to start on any Monday of the year (or Tuesday when there is a long weekend), with the exception of official school holidays.
Minimum enrollment required: 20 hours (for the group class and the semi-private class).

Possibility of auditing regular classes from the Basic Study Cycle and the Center of Humanities.

Our fees

Our fees vary depending on the type of class you take:

  • Group class (3 to 10 sts): 28,000 COP per hour; 20 hours (ref.): 560,000 COP
  • Semi-private class (2 sts): 42,000 COP per hour; 20 hours (ref.): 840,000 COP
  • Private class: 63,000 COP per hour; 30 hours (ref.): 1,890,000 COP

For the first 2 class types, there is a minimum enrollment requirement of 20 hours. For payments of up to 120 hours or more, a 10% discount will be applied. Courses can be combined according to your needs. New students will be allowed to join group classes only on Mondays, as far as the conditions of the currently enrolled students allow. New group classes may be set up to start on any Monday of the year or Tuesday when the Monday has fallen on a break or holiday.

Placement test

If you already know some Spanish, you will be asked to take a placement test before the beginning of the course. This includes a short interview with one of our teachers.

Certificates

If you have attended at least 80% of the lessons, you will be given a certificate of attendance on demand. Additionally, if you have achieved the competencies for the level, you will be given a certificate of achievement, on demand. Finally, you can get a full certificate of your competencies after taking a test (paying).

Our schedule

Typically, courses run on a basis of 2-hour-block classes, Monday through Friday. NOTE: Private classes can be arranged at your convenience.
